Can I host my own webpage as long as I have the domain name?





Hosting means that you%26#039;re managing the traffic, the bandwidth, for the site. If you have your own server, and high speed connection, like a T1, then sure, why wouldn%26#039;t you be able to host your own site.



But, I%26#039;m sure that if you had done that, you%26#039;d need to make some special arrangements with the network provider.

You can. but your connection must be on at all times, and your provider allows it. Otherwise, hosting sites are pretty cheap right now.

If you don%26#039;t have a static IP address, there are services out there that will allow you to map a domain name to your changing address, but you%26#039;ll have to choose from a list of domain names offered by the service (you can%26#039;t use your own).
