I want to set up a website ending with .hk or .com.hk, but my hosting company don%26#039;t have such a choice for me to choose from to register. The only choices are .com, .net, .bs,.. and .name for me to register. Is it that if I choose .name, it can allow me to further choose domain names like .hk, .us, .ws etc.? Thank you in advance.
What kind of domain name does %26quot;.name%26quot; stand for?
The %26#039;.name%26#039; top-level domain is intended for people%26#039;s personal identity domain. I.e., the %26#039;.name%26#039; is for YOUR name -- http://www.johndoe.name .
It will not allow you to also have .hk or .us also. Note that the %26#039;.name%26#039; TLD is not yet in common usage.
