Domain Transfer?

Domain Transfer?

You%26#039;ve transferred your domain registration to Godaddy. You need to make sure that the DNS is pointing to the server that is hosting your website. The domain registration is just the URL, such as mywebsite.com. It%26#039;s only a name. Your web host is where you store your website files. The domain name needs to point to the server where your files are stored. This is done thru the Godaddy interface.

You web host will often do this for you. You will have to give them your username and password for them to be able to do it. If you want to do it yourself, it%26#039;s fairly simple. Log into godaddy. Select the domain name you want pointing to your files. Enter the DNS servers (at least 2 of them). And save your new settings. That%26#039;s it. Get the DNS server names from your hosting provider.

Let me know if you have any questions.
