Email package or Hosting package?

Looking at getting my own website/domain and the place I am looking at offers an Email package or a Hosting package.

Whats the difference?

Thankyoo

Email package or Hosting package?

You need hosting package, in order to host a website or publish a website, you need a place to put the files for your website.

With an email package, it only offers email addresses and none of the website stuff you%26#039;ll need.

Go with hosting.

Email package or Hosting package?

An email package will only give you a selection of email addresses (aliases), which you can either use online (webmail) or you can pop to Microsoft Outlook on your pc/laptop. This is fine if all you require is email.

However, if you want to have a website, then you will need a hosting package. This package gives you a domain, website address, webpages (the number of pages will depend on what level package you purchase), and email addresses. It will also give you virus protection etc if you require that.

There are a lot of ISPs (Internet Service Providers) out there who provide these packages, so make sure you shop around for the best deal.

All the best!

Other Replys:If you want your own website you have to get the hosting package. The E-mail package is if you want E-mail addresses for your domain. For example me@mydomain.com. You can get free E-mail and a domain for $1.99 when you get hosting at http://www.dakotawebhosting.com
