If you cancel your web hosting account with godaddy, will you still be able to keep your domain name

and also would you be able to then transfer your domain without waiting 60 days



i ask this because i cannot figure out how to set up phpbb on godaddy

Yes, you can. Your GoDaddy domain and your hosting package are two distinctly different products. Canceling one will not cancel the other. All you have to do is point your GoDaddy domain to the domain name servers provided with your new hosting account (you%26#039;ll usually find that in your welcome or account confirmation message).

it would be best to transfer your domain name before nuking your current account.



go get the new account set it up and transfer the domain name then nuke your account with go daddy
