Website Hosting and Webspace?

Im looking for a good website hosting company and have narrowed it down to a few which have been recommended to me.

One of these offer 4Gb of webspace another offers 2Gb and another 3Gb. Only thing is I dont know how big my site will be!!

Is there a website online where I can input a domain name and it will tell me the size of the site in question. I have an idea of what the size of my site will be in comparison to other sites, but not a figure in Gb terms.

Can anyone help?

I total agree with tallpaul.. You can go for 2GB webspace first, if you really feel that is not enought for your use, you may addon as much space as you need.

I have one web hosting provider here, http://www.webhostforasp.net as you can see they are offering 2GB space with free mssql express and reasonable web space addon fees.

2 gigabytes (2GB) is plenty of space unless you are hosting loads of music or videos.

You should be more concerned about how much they let you have in terms of bandwidth. In which case 2Gb (2 gigabits - which is what you typed) is nothing. Once a good few people have visited your site then the bandwidth allowance will be used up.

Other Replys:well first of all website will never counts under GB as it shouldnt be so big. Normally website are with max 5-10 or not more than 20 mb if you are running e-business. For hosting and domin registration, try http://www.kittyhost.co.nr

i think they also provide free hosting upto 150MB which will be enough, only you have to register the domain.

Other Replys:Unless you are planning to provide file downloads (softwares, music etc.) I do not see why your website will touch 2GB space. Have you designed your website yet? Do you see the size of the website in your PC?

And if you are planning to share files (music, etc), then you would be more concerned about the bandwidth. As that would be consumed much faster due to the downloads.

If your website is an application website but not providing file downloads, it is not going to be 2GB anyways.

That site lists the majority of the best webhosting companies.
