I%26#039;d like to make a website at my own domain (i.e. mydomain.com)--

without ads/banners/etc.

For $6/year I get my own domain name, a 5 page website, an

easy-to-use sitebuilder, and a 1 G email account with my domain name from 1%26amp;1 http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=8292866

More than that starts at $2.24/month

All the free hosts I found, only give you a subdomain,and put ads

on your site.

What else should I look for in terms of features, services, Microsoft

vs Linux hosting, etc?

When you choose a host and domain provider consider the following things:

availability - be more than 99%

size - an average user is satisfied by 100-500MB

server side script - is there php and/or asp?

database - is there MySQL, Postgre SQL or other DB?

saving interval - is there daily saving?

Is there any restriction concerning the uploadable file-size?

and so on...
